Click on the Link URL at the bottom of this page <http://www.naaidt.org.uk/spd/DATAlecture/StarDATAlecture.html> to see a web page version full PowerPoint presentation with notes of the lecture given at NEC on 8th November 2001.

(Note that this web version was created simply by loading into Star Office 6.0 then exporting in html. The resulting file size is 1.34Mb. This compares very favourably with 4.46Mb which results from the same process using the original PowerPoint software.)

The conversion lost some animation but the presentation still includes hyperlinks. Some link to web pages for which you will have to go online and some may attempt to run TechSoft, Star Office or XaraX. These applications will have to be resident on your machine for the link to succeed. Go to <http://www.techsoftuk.co.uk/>, <http://www.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/6.0beta/index.html> or <http://www.xara.com/> respectively for details of these programs.

There is also a link to download the full course notes for a one day training event which expands several of the points made (note this is a pre-C2000 version)

Download File: Download MS Word file of full course notes
