The downloadable EXCEL spreadsheet contains data for GCSE examinations results of 15 year olds in England in 2000. The data includes the numbers of students achieving each grade, and as a percentage of the total entry, for each subject. A chart shows the distribution across grades A* to C for the major subjects. This enables comparisons to be made between subjects. Use of this data will enable LEAs or individual schools to compare their results with national results in England. The data is taken from table 5 of the DfEE Statistical Bulletin (first release of early data) for GCSE and A level results published in December 2000
