Resources Needed
Computer, 'Paint' type software, colour printer, scanner, digital camera;
CD cases, card, book covering film, craft knife, cutting mat and safety rule.

Project Brief
Most children have a CD case which is no longer in use and empty CD cases are available from the manufacturers at low cost. Design and make a Tangram , Shape Matching or Jigsaw type puzzle to fit inside an unused CD case.

Design and Manufacture
Investigate similar puzzles which have been designed for children
Decide on the picture or pattern which will form the basis of your puzzle
Produce a design on computer using a 'Paint' package - you may wish to use a scanner or digital camera to acquire the initial image.
Print out the finished design, stick it on to card and cover it with self-adhesive book covering material before cutting the design into the shapes needed.

Expected Outcomes
A variety of games or puzzles which use a CD case as a housing
