Lesson Context
This unit was completed by a year 5 class. The unit was adapted from the QCA Unit 3C - Moving Monsters and aimed to develop the children’s understanding of control through investigating pneumatic systems. They then used this knowledge to design and make an object that used pneumatic systems to provide movement.

Resources Needed
T connectors are needed if two tubes need to be joined to one.
A range of syringe sizes is also important to ensure that movement is fluid and pronounced.

Project Brief
Design and make a decorative and/or useful object that requires a pneumatic system to provide movement.

Expected Outcomes
To investigate products that require movement and if that movement can be achieved by using pneumatics.
To design and make a decorative and/or useful object that uses pneumatics for movement.
To join materials whilst allowing movement
