Project Brief
Trade marks and symbols help us quickly to pick out a branded product. Design a personal logo and make a stamp with which you can mark your work so it will be recognised as yours.

Design and Manufacture
Investigate commercial trade marks, symbols and logos before designing your own.
Draw you design accurately to full size using a computer and CAD/CAM software.
Output your design to a CNC engraver or miller to cut the design in MDF
Design and make a suitable handle and ink pad.

The stamp could also be produced by cutting the design in plastic and using the TEP injection moulding techniques to make a rubber stamp. Alternatively a design cut into MDF can be cast in type metal and the stamp used hot to burn a logo on to wood. A CNC miller can cut the design in steel so the stamp can be struck with a hammer. A design cut in gauge plate which can be hardened and tempered to enable a metal stamp to be made.
