This section looks at three approaches to personalising the curriculum:
- providing an inclusive curriculum.
This includes provision for learners with specific needs such as special
educational needs, disabilities and English as an additional language
- promoting specialism and choice
that enable pupils to succeed and develop into independent learners through
flexible curriculum and classroom provision. Attention to learners' needs
and diverse interests is highlighted
- offering targeted support
and intervention to raise achievement. This links to materials from
the Secondary National Strategy.
QCA is developing case studies and examples from schools of whole-curriculum
and subject work to support personalisation.
