shall act in such a manner as to uphold and enhance the good
standing and reputation of educational professional |

shall seek to maintain and improve their professional knowledge
and competence |

shall assist professional colleagues, in the context of the Member's
own knowledge, experience and sphere of responsibility, to develop
their professional competence |
|
shall, where appropriate, work in a collaborative and co-operative
manner with Member's other professional colleagues, recognising and
respecting their particular strengths and contributions within a team |
|
shall not make a public statement claiming an advantage or
superiority over other Members unless such a claim could be substantiated
with evidence which would satisfy a court of law |
|
shall acknowledge any limitations in their knowledge and
competence and decline any requests for services unless able
to perform them in a professional and competent manner. It
is recommended that where appropriate, a Member refers such
requests to other Members of the Association |
|
shall not publicise their services, or allow their
services to be publicised, in association with any goods or
services available from any other source in such a way as
might call into question the independence of their
professional advice or give rise to a conflict of
interest |
|
shall ensure that any publicity for which they may be
held responsible is accurate, not misleading or likely to
cause public offence, and does not make reference to
services provided by other Members unless this is by
agreement with them |
|
in circumstances where a fee is quoted by them for
professional services, shall ensure that they have received
sufficient information to enable them to assess the nature
and scope of the services required |
|
in circumstances where a fee is quoted by them for
professional services, shall not revise that quotation to
take account of the fee quoted by another Member for the
same services |
|
shall ensure that their membership of NAAIDT is not used
in the promotion of commercial products or services in such
a manner as to imply an endorsement of such products or
services by NAAIDT |
|
when providing advice or consultancy, shall declare to
prospective clients any financial or other interests in
relevant organisations providing goods or services and
ensure that their professional judgment is not influenced by
any commercial considerations: |

shall refuse any gift, favour or hospitality from clients
which might be interpreted as seeking to exert influence to
obtain preferential consideration or biased opinion |
|
shall protect all confidential information concerning
clients obtained in the course of providing services and
make disclosures only with consent of the client or as
required by law |
|
shall, in all aspects of their work, seek to promote work
practices which support good health and safety practice,
particularly as it applies to designing and making, and will
provide advice to clients which is consistent with their own
good practice |
|
shall, in all aspects of their work, seek to promote work

and will provide advice to clients which is consistent with

shall only represent or publicise the views of the
Association in terms of information contained in NAAIDT
publications approved by the committee |
