2CV (Deux Chevaux)
The Citroën 2CV (Deux Chevaux) was launched at the post-war Paris Motor Show in 1948. The Citroën boss, Pierre Boulanger, first considered such a car in 1935 and intended that it should be a replacement for the farmer's horse and cart. For simplicity, the whole car bolts together with many removal parts. The 2Cv was originally fitted with a 375 c.c. air cooled engine but this was later replaced with one of 602 c.c.
